Information for Tenants

LOOKING AFTER THE PROPERTY
You will be responsible for looking after the property and will be expected to report any repairs that are the Landlords’ liability. However, general maintenance, for instance, changing light bulbs, keeping the drains clear, looking after the garden will be your responsibility.

FEES
A bond is required. You are responsible for the fees incurred in the preparation of the Tenancy Agreement and also for a HomeLet Referencing Service credit check. It is also required that you hold adequate insurance for personal possessions and accidental damage caused by the you to the furniture, fixtures and fittings the property.

You are also responsible for the for all utility bills including:

We meet our applicants at the properties which allows us to match tenants to suitable premises. It is also essential for you to know what items will remain in the property and what your responsibilities are i.e. who looks after the garden, parking etc.

ASSISTANCE WITH DOCUMENTATION

All documentation will be explained to ensure you fully understand the legal implications before signing the Tenancy Agreement.
The initial money required will be detailed and the date in which you have to pay.
It is important that you read and agree with the inventory provided when you move into a property We recommend that you keep the document in a safe place as it forms the basis of any claims for damages at the end of the tenancy.

SAFETY REGULATIONS

We ensure that all gas appliances are safety checked annually. Any electrical equipment must also be safe and we recommend to our clients that appliances are periodically checked by a qualified electrician.
